The artists involved are both residences and non-residences of Camden Palace Hotel. The exhibition displays work from, Camden Palace Hotel, Sample Studios, The Darkroom and independent artists from Cork city. The invited artists gather for one day to create individual artwork to sell at the exhibition on the 25th of July.

The aim of the fundraiser:
The fundraiser hopes to gain public donations to install a new carpet in our theatre. Our theatre is one of the most used event spaces within Camden Palace Hotel, facilitating countless rehearsals, music events and theatrical plays. This fundraiser is aimed at installing a new carpet for your local community theatre. Our old carpet is worn, badly damaged and extremely stained.



Whats on?
Camden Palace Hotel is holding visual arts exhibition to raise funds for the new carpet. Approximately 20 artists have been invited to display work in the exhibition. On the day of the exhibition, they will create a piece of artwork between 9am and 5pm and have it hung by 6pm. The exhibition will officially open at 7pm. This is a fun and challenging experience for the artists to create artwork that can be bought by members of the public. All artworks will sell at a set price of €100 each. All the artwork is original and reasonably priced. There will also be an exhibition shop, selling prints, individually painted cards and more. The night will be filled with live music, food, and visual artwork. All donations will be more than gratefully accepted.



The Funk Band
The fundraiser will also host live music from Quangodelica, a 6 piece funk band based in Cork. Continuing from their recent gig at The Roundy, Quangodelica will accompany the exhibition for a night of visual delights and cool funk. 



The colour red
Camden Palace Hotel invites everyone to wear a hint or a splash of red to mark the occasion. The theme of red is not only the decided colour of the carpet; it will also feature or be suggested within the artwork hanging on the walls.
