An Audience with The Sacred Harp Singers of Cork

Sacred Harp is a four-part a capella singing tradition, sung in the shape note style - one of the earliest musical traditions to originate in America. The Sacred Harp Singers of Cork will be hosting an evening centered around this music, including a screening of “Awake, My Soul” - a documentary about the origins and survival of the tradition, followed by an hour-long participatory shape note workshop and demonstration. The workshop is open to anyone who wishes to join in, regardless of their experience or musical background.
